Welcome to the CHI PHI FRATERNITY at the
University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Founded at
Princeton University in 1824, Chi Phi is the first and oldest
social fraternity in the United States. Founded upon truth,
honesty, and personal integrity, Chi Phi Brothers are
known to be true gentlemen and upstanding supporters
of their surrounding community.
Here in Charlotte, Chi Phi was the founding fraternity in
the Interfraternal Council (IFC). Starting in 1970, the Psi
Delta Chapter has pursued excellence in a variety of ways
throughout its 40 years of existence. Some aspects of
chapter life include scholastic achievement, brotherhood
unity, alumni relations, community service, philanthropy,
and intramurals. With grades being the highest priority in
the fraternity, standards have been raised for the active
brothers in past years. Brotherhood unity is strengthened
through planned brotherhood events which include
camping trips, weekend excursions, and sports. Our
alumni are proud sponsors of the University, and proud to
be Chi Phis. Frequently, alumni stop by our house located
off of E. Mallard Creek Church Road to see how their
chapter is performing. Community service is at an all time
high, with our national philanthropy as the Boys and Girls
Club of America. Intramurals cannot be better. With
championships in intramural basketball, volleyball, and
soccer in previous years, and winning the All Campus
Intramural Trophy in 2008, Chi Phis know how to play
their sports.

Chi Phi can do for you.
Again, welcome.
